

He graduated from Bolton High in Alexandria and obtained a Master of Architecture degree from Tulane University where he was a member of SAE fraternity. He practiced architecture in Baton Rouge for more than forty years, beginning with the firm of Bodman, Murell and Webb, then Bodman, Webb and Noland, then Bodman, Webb, Noland and Guidroz and finally Noland and Wong at the time of his retirement.
Former member of the AIA, Rotary Club, Bocage Racquet Club, Baton Rouge Country Club, Episcopal High Board of Trustees, Trinity Episcopal Church and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Butch was blessed with the gift of having a cheerful soul and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a devout Christian. As he aged, he substituted his hunting, fishing and tennis for cruising. He was an accomplished artist.
He is preceded in death by his father, The Rt. Rev. Iveson Noland, Episcopal Bishop of Louisiana, his mother, Nell Burden Noland, his son, Iveson IV, daughter Kendall and son, David. He is survived by his wife of sixty three years, Judy, his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth, grandchildren Brooke Filardo and Iveson V (Quint), brothers, John Noland (Virginia) and Dan Noland (Pat) of Cedar Mt., NC.
Visitation will be at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Wednesday, March 9 at 10:00 followed by the memorial service at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers gifts may be made to St. Luke’s Church, the St. James Place Foundation or Episcopal High School.
