
Jack Frazee went home peacefully to be with the Lord on his 86th birthday, Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2011, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was born in Houston on Feb. 8, 1925, and was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. He graduated from Baton Rouge High School and retired as procurement officer from the U.S. Postal Service. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy for 2 1/2 years aboard a sub-tender in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. George Catholic Church and active in St. Vincent de Paul Society for many years. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Gomez Frazee; two daughters, Bonnie Frazee Alvara and husband Eddie; and Patricia Frazee Fryer; son, Scott Frazee and wife Debbie, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; former son-in-law, Jerry Fryer Jr.; eight wonderful grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Jack was preceded in death by his son, Davis Glenn Frazee; parents, Gladys Glenn and Delavan Lyman Frazee; sister, Eloise Averette; and brother, Del Lyman Frazee. Visitation at St. George Catholic Church on Thursday, Feb. 10, from 9 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Mike Schatzle, celebrant. Interment in Roselawn Memorial Park.
