Jack Vick Scardina, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the age of 88. He graduated from Istrouma High School in 1945. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served his country in World War II. He retired in 1990 from Ciba-Geigy where he worked as maintenance supervisor. Jack is survived by his children, Sandy Nicholas and Terry Parish and husband, John; 11 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Philip Scardina and wife, Carol, Ann Helouin and husband, Larry, and Betty Stott and husband, Bob; and nieces, Wava Wray, Cherlyn Ducklow, and Julie Bryant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Billie; his parents, Vick and Annie Accardo Scardina; and son-in-law, Joey Nicholas. Visitation will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
