Family and friends are invited to share remembrances in the celebration of Jacob Ryan Packard's life on Friday, April 30, 2010. Join us at Greenoaks Funeral Home Chapel, 9595 Florida Blvd. Visiting begins at 9 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. Soul mate to his wife, Angelique Monique, best friend to his daughter, Fallon Rachelle, and superhero to his son, Ryan Zain, Jacob was lovingly and wholeheartedly devoted to his family. As first born, on May 3, 1977, to James Arthur and Virginia Miller Packard, he taught his mother and father how to become parents as the son who spoiled his parents. Idolized by younger brothers Jared Arthur and James Henry Packard, Jacob endlessly teased that he was the one who had to endure their parent's learning curve so they could enjoy their freedoms. With his sudden departure on Sunday, April 25, 2010, he eternally joins his admired and beloved grandparents, Alfred E. and Theresa M. Miller, Ann S. Euwer and John Jacob Packard Sr. He was appreciative of the opportunity to continue his education and further his career as a plumber for Thibodeaux Plumbing Co., where he valued being a member of this extended family. Too many to list, but lovingly acknowledged are numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, neighbors and friends who were touched by Jacob, and who deeply feel his loss. As a donor to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, Jacob's essence will continue to live among us, generously helping others as was his nature. Jacob Ryan Packard lived as a simple kind of man. He will always live in the hearts of and be forever cherished by all who were fortunate to truly know him.
