
James Lalonde was an employee of Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge. He died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at age 67 after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer. He was a Navy veteran of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Visitation will be held at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., Wednesday, March 17, from 9 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., conducted by the Most Rev. Robert Muench, Bishop of Baton Rouge, under the direction of Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his wife of 44 years, Judy Faciane Lalonde, of Baton Rouge; daughter, Dr. Nicolle Hollier and husband Dr. Drew Hollier, of Baton Rouge; son, Dr. James Allen Lalonde Jr. and wife, Dr. Elise Scallan Lalonde, of Baton Rouge; sister, Elsie Lalonde Baddinger and husband, Al, of Mandeville; and seven grandchildren, Caroline, Andrew and Alex Hollier, James, Isabella, Sophia and Amelia Lalonde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Celina and Allen Lalonde; and sister, Lucille Lalonde Thompson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pennington Cancer Center in his name.
