James Joseph Argrave, III, 51, a beloved son and brother, devoted husband, loving father, and cherished grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, at 12:20 PM. He was surrounded by his beloved family, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and an adventurous spirit.
James, lovingly called "Bubby" by family and friends, was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time at his camp with family and friends.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Kimberly, proud father to beautiful daughters, Brandi (Mark) Martin, Eryn (Andrew) Greene and Haley Baker, and doting grandfather to Drew, Cole, and Audrey Martin, Brayden and Bryson Greene, Isabella Rivere and Hayden Martin, who adored him beyond measure. James and Kim shared many beautiful years of laughter, love, and unwavering companionship. Together, they built a home filled with warmth and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his father, James (Sonny) Argrave, Jr.; grandparents; and Zoe, his sweet fur baby. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine (Gautreau) Argrave; sister, Chantelle (Paul) Miller; and nephew, Cody Davidson.
Those who knew James will remember him for his kindness, his wisdom, and his steadfast devotion to his loved ones. Though he has left this world, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
A visitation for James will be held Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. James will be laid to rest in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Greene, Mark Martin, Darrell Frederic, Brandon Frederic, Cody Davidson, Blake Maggio, Shane Nicholas, and Pat Langley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Happy Marionneaux, Danny Graham, Allen Crochet, Paul Miller, Jason Lambert and Troy Landry.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his honor to St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Rest in peace, James. Your love and legacy will never be forgotten.
