
James Kenneth “Kenny” Bueche, Sr., 77, of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Monday, November 20th, 2023. Kenny was born in Pointe Coupee Parish near New Roads, LA in 1946 to Joseph Irving Bueche, Sr. and Rita Bergeron Bueche. When he was a child, his family relocated to the North Baton Rouge area where he worked in the family grocery store and attended St. Gerard School. Kenny graduated high school in 1964 from Glen Oaks and then went on to an apprenticeship program with the Boilermakers Local 582. He worked many years as a Boilermaker and then became Assistant Business Agent for Local 582. After his business agent role, he went to work for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers where he eventually retired. Kenny was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and had an uncanny ability to fix anything mechanical. He often spent his free time helping others with repairs, projects and just about anything they needed help with. He loved a good joke and especially loved to pull pranks on people.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Rita “Nanee” and Irving Joseph “Yank” Bueche, Sr., brothers Joseph Irving “Pie” Bueche, Jr., Danny Raymond Bueche, sister Rita Ruth Bueche, and late spouse Linda McCurley Bueche. Kenny is survived by wife Suzanne Bueche, sons James (Sheetal) Bueche, Charles (Sonya) Bueche, stepson Troy (Kendra) Shultz, honorary stepdaughters Amber, Aimee, Anna, Amanda, brother John Ray (Joanne) Bueche, grandchildren Logan, Malini, Collin and Chloe Bueche, step-grandchildren Tyler, Kaitlyn and Cade Shultz, step-great granddaughter Karsyn Donaldson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, December 2nd , 2023 from noon until service time of 2PM.
