James D. French, age 93, passed away in Baton Rouge at 11:35 pm on April 4, 2013. He was born March 28, 1920 in Tioga, LA. J.D. was an Army veteran and served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jimmie French; sister, Dorothy Coleman; and brother, Henry N. French. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Dupree and husband Chuck; grandchildren, Dr. Missy Dupree-Peck and husband Dr. Trevor Peck, and Brett Dupree; sisters- and brother-in-law, Mildred French, Sue Cayer, and Gene & Jerry Bates; and other loving relatives and friends. J.D. was a member of Jefferson UMC. There will be a private ceremony held at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the friends and staff at The Haven, and Dr. Brent Allain , Dr. Pat Stagg and the nursing staff at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital.
