James Boykin "Jim" Bishop, a resident of Baton Rouge, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at age 54. He graduated from Broadmoor High School in 1972 then attended Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. Jim is survived by his mother, Juanita Boykin Bishop; two brothers, John Bishop, of New York, and Watt Bishop, of Oxford, Miss.; and a sister, Nita Thornell, of Rocky Mount, N.C. Preceded in death by his father, Frank Watkins Bishop; and a sister, Margaret Kent Bishop. Hunting and fishing were pastimes that Jim enjoyed. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m.
