

James "Myles" LeBlanc, Jr., 44, passed away Monday, January 12, in Houston, Texas.He was born on January 26, 1970, in Baton Rouge to James "Jimmy" LeBlanc, Sr. and Lauren Coleman LeBlanc. Myles grew up in Saint Gabriel and graduated from Catholic High in Baton Rouge in 1987 and Southeastern University in 1996. Myles served the state of Louisiana as a Probation and Parole Officer since 1997. He was an ardent LSU fan and enjoyed tailgating, attending LSU sporting events, and playing cards and golf. He will be remembered for his genuine smile and infectious giggle. He has been an inspiration to all of those around him being very courageous through his illness. He is survived by his wife, Kelley; mother, Lauren Coleman LeBlanc; father, James "Jimmy" LeBlanc (Sarah); sister, Allyson LeBlanc; mother-in-law, Yvonne Kemp; brother-in-law, Deavours Kemp (Celeste); and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Marion and William T. Coleman; paternal grandparents Sadie and Melvin LeBlanc, Sr.; cousins, Douglas and Christopher Twiner; and aunt, Marion Elizabeth Coleman. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church (3625 Hwy 75, St. Gabriel, LA 70776) at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the church from 9:00 AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow in the St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church Mausoleum. Pallbearers will be Will Reames, Matt Reames, Stan LeBlanc, Jerry Hebert, Melvin Averett, Deavours Kemp, Elliot Berrios, and Cliff Comeaux. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Houston Hope Lodge.
