
Lieux, James N. 'Buddy' James "Buddy" Neilan Lieux lived a full, prosperous life as a Christian man with strong beliefs in his life-long Catholic faith, service to his community and love for his family. He was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge; Buddy died at 92 years old on Friday, September 4, 2015. He was born in New Roads, Louisiana, on October 22, 1922. He was preceded in death by his parents James Anthony Lieux and Mary Camilla Patin Lieux. He was married to his beloved wife of 70 years, Dorothy "Dottie" H. Lieux. He was preceded in death by his sister Betty Betts and is survived by his sister Jean Chapman. He had four children: James "Jim" N. Lieux Jr. (Ellen), Jeanne Walker (D.L), the late Anne Burnett (Jim) and Paul Lieux (Cathy). Popee had six grandchildren: Kristen Lieux Feigles (Brian), Angelle Burnett Higbie (Aaron), Karamie Lieux Rotolo (Scott), Brandt Lieux (Jessica), Landon Lieux (Sarah) and Austin Lieux (Brittany). He was blessed with five great grandchildren: Benton Lieux, Matthew Rotolo, Adelle Higbie, William Rotolo and Skylar Lieux. Buddy graduated from Catholic High School (BR) and Louisiana State University. He was the president and owner of Morning Treat Coffee Company, a founding board member for American Bank and a member of the New Orleans Board of Trade. Buddy was also a member of the North Baton Rouge Lion's Club, the Knights of Columbus, the Boy Scouts of America and the Krewe of Tucumcari. On Tuesday, September 8, 2015, a private funeral mass was held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church with a Christian burial at Roselawn Memorial Park.
