
Retired international sales manager for Albemarle Corp. with 40 years of service, he died at home on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010. He was 76, a native of Bentonville, Ark., and a resident of Baton Rouge for 55 years. Jim was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral East chapel, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Feb. 19, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 9 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Landen Dowden. Burial with military honors at Port Hudson National Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Sally Fields Riddle; stepdaughter, Audrey Fields Rojo and family, of Houston; stepson, Frederick Blaine Fields II, and family, of Baton Rouge; 12 grandchildren, Lynda Gizzi, Christy McDowell, Danielle Riddle, Angela Accardo Sloan, Veronica Accardo, Kayleigh Riddle, Mason Bourgeois, Juliana, Elise, Mary and Joel Rojo and Frederick Blaine Fields III; and great-grandson, Evan Gizzi. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah "Budie" Riddle; daughter, Katherine Riddle Accardo; son, James Douglass Riddle; and granddaughter, Jessie Accardo. He was a member of Crosspoint Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be sent to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
