James Nicholas White II passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2015, at Baton Rouge General Mid-City. He was 69. Born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Nick is a proud alum of Neville High School, where he taught and coached the golf and football teams. He received his BA and MA in mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. He received his PhD from LSU, where he taught calculus for almost thirty years. He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Sue Sims White; his sister, Polly Phelps Durham; his daughters, Melissa, Mary Evelyn, and Elizabeth White; his stepchildren, Kristen Muirhead, Kelly Clayton, Katie Cross, and Bennett Sims; and his Shar Pei, Scarlett. He is preceded in death by his mother, Narcissa Jack White; his father, Roger Crawford White; his half-brother, Roger Crawford White Jr.; and his half-sister, Dorothy White Wicker. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Neville Alumni and Friends Association.
