Jan Willard

Jan Bearden Willard, 62 years old, passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022, following a valiant battle with cancer. Jan was born in New Orleans on November 4, 1959, to parents Lloyd Bearden and Derry Lynn Brooks Bearden.

Jan was a 1977 graduate of Belaire High School.

Jan was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed being with her family as they brought her so much joy. She never missed an event while her boys were growing up and was so proud be there; they were her pride and joy. Jan had a passion for music, specifically classic rock, which she shared with her sons. She shared this passion with her love for the LSU Tigers. Jan was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Bearden, maternal grandparents Polly McDonald Christian and Lee Brooks, and her paternal grandparents Lloyd Bearden Sr and Rose Bearden. Jan is survived by her mother, Derry Lynn Brooks Bearden; her three sons, Trey (Whitney) Willard, Christopher Willard, Sean (Lindsey) Willard. Brothers Bucky (Lorrie) Bearden, and Ricky (Jane) Bearden. Two granddaughters Rowan and Sloane Willard, whom she loved with all her heart. She was an adored aunt to her nephews Chad, Bryan and Brett Bearden, and nieces Elizabeth, Anna and Kate Bearden. Jan had many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.

Funeral services for Jan Willard will be at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Greenoaks Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 9595 Flordia Blvd Baton Rouge, LA Saturday March 5, 2022 with Father Jeff Bayhi officiating, following a time of visitation beginning at 12 noon.
