Janet M. Fleming, native and resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on November 4, 2021 at the age of 69. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Brandewyn M. Fleming; her sister, Karen Lancaster and husband Tom of San Antonio; two nieces, Jennifer and Jodi; two nephews, James and Joshua; and numerous extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Laurene Shows Moneymaker.
Janet worked at Sonshine Christian Armory for 25 years before starting her career at Dillards, where she worked for the last 17 years. She was an avid LSU Baseball fan; being a the baseball field was her happy place. She also enjoyed doing projects with her daughter, painting, sewing, and spending time with family and friends.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Monday, November 8th from 2 pm until time of funeral service at 4 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Ronald McDonald House.
