Janet Greer Mendow

Janet Greer Mendow, age 91, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28th, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Wilson Ray “Sonny” Mendow. She is the aunt of William Aaron Scott (Jessica) and Jamee Scott Lemmler (Philip). Janet was the Great Aunt of Drake Lemmler (Maci), Scott Lemmler and Victoria Lemmler. She preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Bernice Greer, her son, Gregory Ray Mendow and her daughter, Annette Mendow.

Janet graduated from Baton Rouge High School and shortly after, met the love of her life. After business college, she became part owner with her husband of Louisiana Sheet Metal and Spiral Metal and was President of Cornerstone Foundation, a Christian organization. Janet loved the Lord, her family, animals, the great outdoors, and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Aaron Scott, Philip Lemmler, Scott Lemmler. Michael Doiron, Greg Lavergne and Herman Watkins

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. 70815 on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Greenoaks memorial Park.
