Jean Ann unexpectedly passed away on April 28, 2021 at the age of 87 surrounded by many loved ones. Born in New Orleans, La on November 1, 1933 and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge. Graduated from Sacred Heart High School in New Orleans and employed by the Federal government at the New Orleans Port of Embarkation and La Farm Bureau in Baton Rouge.
Preceded in death by son, Keith Giurintano; husband, Robert Giurintano; parents, Micheal Giardina Sr. and Clara Everhart Giardina Higgins; grandparents, Ernest and Claudia Serpas Giardina; stepfather, William Higgins.
Survived by son, Mark Giurintano (Shari); daughter, Lynn Giurintano Brinlee (Sammy); daughter-in-law, Carol Giurintano; 3 brothers, William Higgins III (Jean), Michel Giardina Jr., and Dr. Ronald Giardina Sr.; 5 grandchildren, Amber Giurintano McCarstle, Scott and Ty Giurintano, Justin Brinlee and Steve Blanchard Jr.; 6 great-grandchildren, Clayton, Wyatt, Logan, Andrew, Megan and Hudson.
She was a member of St Thomas More Parish, Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court #1915 and Fleur de Lis Exxon Annuitant Club. She loved sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Friday, May 7, 2021. Visitation starts at 1pm a Christian mass at 2pm.
Interment will follow at Green Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers include, Ty, Scott, Logan and David Giurintano; Justin Brinlee; Steve Blanchard Jr; Jeff, Clayton and Wyatt McCarstle. Honorary Pallbearers include, Andrew Giurintano and Hudson Blanchard.
