Jean Dupuis Jaubert was born in Lafayette, LA, on June 13, 1942. A longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Jean passed away on March 30, 2023, at age 80. She was a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana, a retired school teacher of 35 years, and a member of the National Education Association. She was a proud grandmother and most enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jean is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jodie Jaubert Debetaz and Ray of Baton Rouge; daughter and son-in-law, Jaclyn Jaubert Weidus and Jesse of Baton Rouge; and grandchildren, Gabriel Mayeux, Joseph Debetaz, Caitlin Mayeux, John “Jack” Buhler, and Emily Debetaz. She is also survived by numerous lifelong friends who have so loyally stayed by her side for many years. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jaubert; mother, Eunice “Mimi” Beasley; father, Jean Milton Dupuis; and stepfather, Harold L. Beasley. Thank you to the staff of Landmark South Nursing and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care over the past three years. A visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 19, at 11 am until Mass at noon. An inurnment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
