

Jeanette Thompson Courtney"For we know that when this tent we live in now is taken down"”when we die and leave these bodies"”we will have wonderful new bodies in heaven"¦made for us by God himself, and not by human hands" (2 Corinthians 5:1). Jeanette Thompson Courtney went home to be with her Lord on February 20th, 2015 at 2:00 am in the comfort of her home. She is survived by her loving husband, Paul "Pete" Courtney, daughters Tracey Daigre Alonzo of Boca Raton, FL. and Jennifer Daigre Sartain of Madison, MS., stepsons Marc Wayne Courtney and Zen Destiny of CA., five grandchildren, Barry Alonzo, Jr., (MS), Courtney Alonzo Dailey (FL.), Jacob Sartain (MS), Clara Booth McGee (TN), Austin Boyd Blades (MS), four great-grandchildren, Katherine Renee Alonzo, Annalise Claire Alonzo, Charlotte Annette Alonzo, Harper Grace Sartain, and Willow Raylynn Blades, all of MS. Preceded in death by her parents, Leon Daniel Thompson, Sr. and Bertha Lobell Thompson, five sisters, two nephews and one niece. Jeanette was active in the VFW Women's Auxiliary "Cooties" and Sweet Adeline's. Pallbearers are Barry Alonzo, Sr., Barry Alonzo, Jr., Austin Blades, Parker Sartain, Carl Causey, and Sidney Farned. Honorary pallbearers are Glen Shaw, Gene Allison, Donnie Allison, and Robert Farned. Funeral arrangements are as follows: Visitation at Rabenhorst East, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Monday, February 23 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral held at St. Louis King of France Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Graveside service will be held at LA. National Cemetery in Zachary at 2:30 p.m.
