Jeannette Rita Blair Melancon, native of Dutchtown, LA, previously of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Rosewood Nursing Center, Lake Charles, LA at the age of 91. She was a retiree of City of Baton Rouge Police Department. Jeannette was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother, and one granddaughter. She is survived by her children: Judy Lee (spouse Dale Lee), Jean Procell and Jena Melancon; her grandchildren: Jared and Joshua Tullier, Jeffery Lee, Aimee Kerek, and Kara Hinkson; eight (8) great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Green Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM with funeral immediately following. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
