Jeanie Stockwell Valentine
July 14, 1951 – March 27, 2021
Jeanie 'Nana' Stockwell Valentine went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 27, 2021, at the age of 69. She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA and a graduate of Central High School. Being a strong woman of faith and believer of God's true word, she lived life serving and genuinely loving others. She could often be found in her church kitchen cooking for the homeless and seniors in the community. She served in Hankies2Hope Ministry by bringing hope to other mothers who had also lost children. Celebration service will be at 12 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, 2021, with visiting from 10 a.m., at Cornerstone Fellowship, 9611 Blackwater Road. Pastors Dick Metz and Caleb Crawford will officiate. Survivors include her children Nicholas and Sissy Valentine, David and Mandy Louviere and beloved honorary daughter DeAnne Puente; Five very loved grandchildren Michael Valentine, Lilah, Elias, Ian and Sophie Louviere; sister Dean Dykes; brother Lonnie Stockwell and his wife Maureen; sister in law Sandy Stockwell. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Michael Valentine; daughter Jennifer Lynn Valentine; grandson Ezra Louviere; parents Leon and LaVerne Stockwell; brother Dun Stockwell; brother in law Dennis Dykes. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
