Passed away on June 5, 2012 from a heart attack. Jeanne, 73, was a graduate of Istrouma High School and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. After 30 years at LA DOT, she retired in 2010. She loved her family, co-workers, friends and football... especially "her" Tigers&Saints. They call her "Mama" at "Hound Dogs" and she loved hanging out at "the bar." A memorial service will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Friday, June 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. followed by a Celebration at Hound Dogs. Preceded in death by her mother, Audre ySummers; father, Vernon Summers; and sister, Verna Summers Cutrona. The family sends special thanks to Jacques Vidrine for his loving friendship and "always being there" for her. Thanks also at The Guest House for the care provided the last couple of years.
