Jeff Jeffers, resident of Prairieville, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at Carrington Place Nursing Home at the age of 56. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing music. He was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother who is survived by his son, Jeff Jeffers, Jr. and wife, Celeste; daughter, Sarah Jeffers; grandchildren, Patience Pagan, Darian Jeffers, and Toryn Parnell; mother, Ida Mae Jeffers; sisters, Brenda Odom, Patti Guedry and husband, Stan, and Cindy Delaughter and husband, Glynn; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, C.L. Jeffers; sister, Terri Lynn Jeffers, and brother-in-law, Teddy Odom. A funeral mass will be held Friday, May 16, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 13940 Greenwell Springs, at 11AM.
