Jerry Howard Cannon

Jerry H. cannon passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the age of 80 years, a native and resident of Baton Rouge.  He was proud member of the US Marine Corp for which he played football. He graduated from Baton Rouge High and was an outstanding football player. He was a former owner of the Office Lounge on tom drive and River View on the Amite River.  His greatest pleasure was family and playing the washboard with local bands.  He passed away with two of his best friend, C. J. Pietri and Tom Fago after a great weekend in Grand Isle.  He will be missed by his family and friends and a special thanks to Miss Dot Lambert and Diane Nobles for being loyal friends.   He is survived by his children; Tammie James, Kelly Johnson and Rocky Mcleod, 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph A. and Grace Collier Cannon and a granddaughter; Berit Broud. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua James, Rocky Mcleod, C.J. Pietri, Tom Fago, Don Deadon and Gayle Deadon.  Visitation will be Thursday at Rabenhorst Funeral East 11000 Florida Blvd. starting at 5:00pm until 9:00pm.  Visitation will resume Friday, October 10, 2014 at the funeral home starting at 8:00am until service at 10:00am.
