

Jerry Gauthier, 81, of Baton Rouge, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015. He was born in Hessmer, LA in 1933 to Jules J. and Elda LaBorde Gauthier. He was a graduate of Mansura High School, worked as telephone equipment installer, and also served in the US Army from 1953-1955. He was a hardworking individual that always believed in taking care of his family. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Charmaine Gauthier. He is survived by his two sons, Greg Gauthier, Sr. and wife Kathy and Daryle Gauthier and wife Donna, both of Baton Rouge; one brother, John Elbert Gauthier of Metairie; five grandchildren, Rachael Barrow and husband Steven, Danielle Dawson and husband Steve, MacKenzie Blair and husband Jeremy, Gregory Gauthier, Jr. and wife Rachel, and Jillian Gauthier; and twelve great-granchildren, Lydia, Joshua, Caleb, Benjamin and Phoebe Barrow, DaKota, Dylan, and Devin Dawson, Josie, Amos, Eleanor and Jude Blair. A Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Monday, May 4th, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and on Tuesday, May 5th, from 9:00am until 11:00am. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home.
