An English professor with 38 years of service at LSU, Jim Springer Borck passed away peacefully in his sleep at Our Lady of theLakeRegionalMedicalCenteron Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007. He was 65, born in New Orleans, a former resident of Floridaand a longtime resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 12:30 p.m.until memorial service at 2:30 p.m.He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Helen Borck; two sons, Jacob Borck and Nathan Borck; mother, Sissy Borck; sisters and brothers, Julia Ramadan, Joe Borck, Edna Robins and George Borck; and numerous nieces and nephews.
