Jimmy Jim D. Nicholson

Jimmy Dale Nicholson, Sr., a native of Yazoo County, MS and resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 at the age of 74. He was the owner Ponder’s M/H Towing, Jim and Jeri’s Towing, Nicholson M/H, Evergreen Acres Mobile Home Park and Nicholson Village. After retiring, Jim went to work in the oil field, transportation of fracking sand. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Ruth Nicholson; his daughter Joann Nicholson Bryan; grandson, Cameron Bordelon; three brothers, Albert, Lawrence and William “BB”; one sister, Merle Tuttle. Jim is survived by his wife, Jeri Allen Nicholson; his daughter, Terrie Nicholson Bordelon; son, Jimmy Nicholson, Jr. (Rebecca); five grandchildren, Chris Bryan, Breanna Bordelon, Ashley Bryan, Brooklyn Nicholson and Peyton Nicholson; two great-grandsons; two brothers, Lamar Nicholson (Kitty) and Tony Johnson (Jennifer); one sister, Veronica Nicholson. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Monday, August 21, 2017 from 6 pm – 8 pm. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 9 am until funeral service begins 10 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
