Joann Roddy Stenhouse

Joann Roddy Stenhouse passed away peacefully in her home on June 5, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Henry Merritt Stenhouse, Jr., her father Denmie Luster Roddy, her mother Clara Lucas Roddy, and her sister Janis Faye Roddy. Joann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her family: Jim Stenhouse and his wife Kathy and their children Jennifer and husband Sean, Jason, Keith and Evan; Mike Stenhouse his wife Lisa and daughter Sarah; Ann Stenhouse Carroll her husband Jimmy and their children Amanda, Steven and Alex; and Karen Stenhouse Thompson and her husband Rob and their children Emily and Ryan. She had many interests which included cooking, reading, golfing, and playing Bridge with her competitive spirit. Joann was an avid LSU fan, and was happiest when watching or listening to basketball, baseball, or football being played by the Tigers. Joann's grandchildren were the apples of her eye, and she loved spending time with them. She was one of a kind, and will be forever missed. A special thank you to Dr. Susan Richarme and to her loving caregiver and friend, Harriet Prince. Visitation is Friday June 10th, from 9am until 11am at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, friends may make a contribution to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
