Jocelyn Drew

Joycelyn O. Drew, 91 years old, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend to many was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 6, 2025. She entered this world on October 10, 1933, born to Lelia and John Oubre, in Vacherie, LA. She lived a great life full of love, cooking for others, making jewelry, shopping, and hanging out with her family & friends. She loved deeper than you can imagine. Those that knew her, know that she was one of the sweetest ladies in the world.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Gale Ann Murray, grandchildren; Todd Silvio (Tracie), January Burchfield, Tara Johnson, Lindsey Connor (Bryan), Jodi Johnson, Garrett Johnson (Ashley); 12 great grandchildren; brothers, John Oubre, Jr. & Don Oubre; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lelia Oubre; husband, Hubert M. Drew; sons, Jeffrey Johnson and Alan Johnson; sisters, Mabel Folse, Mary Boudreaux, Grace Oubre, Adella Chenier, & Marie Chenier; and brother, Louis Oubre.

Pallbearers will be Todd Silvio, TJ Silvio, Tucker Silvio, Garrett Johnson, Troy Rembert, & Brian Leger.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for the visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Monday, January 13, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4045 North St., Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
