

Johanna was born on March 21, 1925 in Lafayette. She lived in Baton Rouge for the majority of her life before moving to Madisonville in 2004 to be close to her family. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, Cajun music and doting on her great-grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Diamond (husband Mark) and Jan Diamond, 4 grandchildren, Kristy Sullivan (husband Justin), Jace Curtis (wife Kendra), Haley Strickland (husband Rob) and Montana Curtis Shuford (husband Chad), as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Bryce Bascle, Blake Bascle, Isabella Bascle, Ava Curtis, Amelia Strickland, River Sullivan, Eden Strickland, Forrest Shuford, Scarlett Sullivan and Banks Shuford.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernedette Emily “Ganga” Freyou, her father, Paul Schoeffler Sr, her beloved husband, William Bishop Sr., her brother Paul Schoeffler Jr. and her cat Lucy Lou.
Family and Friends are invited to attend the visitation at Green Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery (9595 Florida Boulevard, Baton Rouge) on Tuesday, June 7, from 11-1. Funeral services will begin at 1. A private burial will follow.
Pallbearers will be Jace Curtis, Rob Mason, Marvin Darr, Mark Rosseneau, Norman Schoeffler and Justin “Jus Jus” Sullivan.
