John William Conley

John William Conley was born on September 28, 1947, in Hammond, LA, and passed away on Monday, June 15, 2026, in Baton Rouge, LA, at the age of 78. He was a resident of Atlanta, GA, for over 25 years. John graduated from Catholic High School in 1965, then went to UNO to earn a bachelor’s degree in both civil and mechanical engineering. He also was a veteran of the US Army.

John is survived by his wife, Gail; children, Jennifer Anderson (Tim), and Justin Conley (Abby); grandchild, Townes; sisters, Jane Conley, Liz Walker (Charlie), Gwen Bizette (Mark), and Colleen Conley; nieces and nephews, Heidi Bergeron (Allen), Kevin George, and Aubrie Tierney (Courtney); and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Tim Conley; and his parents, John and Clara Conley. Visitation will be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Baton Rouge, LA, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 9am until the Memorial Mass at 10am. The rosary will be recited at 8:30am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to Alzheimer Services of the Capital Area @ www.alzbr.org Greenoaks Funeral Home handled arrangements.
