John D. Passman

John D. Passman, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the age of 81. John is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Gayle Mondart Passman; children, Lisa Passman, Lori Stodd and husband, Jim, Cole Passman and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Jordan Parsons and wife, Rachel, Jacob Parsons, Chase Cothern and wife, Amanda, Kalynn Cothern, Dylan Passman, Scout Passman, Nick Stodd and wife Kristen; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Emma; and sister, Kay Tannehill. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delma and Mildred Passman; and granddaughter, Victoria Passman. John was retired from Dow Chemical. He enjoyed golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren whom he was a great role model for. He was a member of Istrouma Baptist Church from birth where he went on to serve as a Deacon and a member of the choir. He was a graduate of Louisiana College in Pineville, LA. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 11 a.m. until Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family wants to extend a special thank you and acknowledgement to Tiffanny Mitchell for her loving care of John. The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care the nurses at the Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing provided to John.
