Jack spent his adult life in the pipeline business and as a communications engineer for Amoco Oil Co. His work took him to 69 foreign countries and as a result he spoke 3 languages fluently; he could also get by in 2 others. Jack was known for his kindness, loyalty, generosity, and “story telling”. Every day he got up and wondered what he could do for someone else.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life of 55 years, Elsa Sardou Temple; his pride and joy, his son, Ricky Temple; step-daughter, Maria Mahon; parents, Kennon Henderson Conner and John Temple; and his baby sister, Talma Temple DeLong.
He is survived by his nieces, Sharon Yelverton and Janet DeLong; his special cousin, Mary Jo Brook; and his loyal friend and caregiver, Karen Rainey, who never left his side.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on December 20, 2018 from 10 am-11 am at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 11 am.
