"I have fought a good fight. 1 have finished my course, 1 have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7-8. Dan Webster, brother, son, nephew and uncle, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at the age of 48. He joins his beloved parents, Jesse and Rosemary, in eternal rest, praising our Lord and Savior forever and surely watching over us from above. Born in Orlando, Fla., on Oct. 13, 1963, and raised in Baton Rouge since the age of 2, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was an electrician, recently employed by ISC at Exxon Chemical and formerly worked as a mechanic for Foreign Car Repair. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, from noon until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Linda Hagan. Interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He is survived by his siblings, Andy and Laura Webster and Valerie Smith; brother-in-law, Skip Smith; sister-in-law, Pam Webster; niece, Alesha Webster; nephews, Christopher and Matthew Smith and Jared Webster; aunts, Lois Jencks and Judy Webster; uncles, John Anderson, Louis Jencks and Billy Webster; and best friend, Tracy Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Dan was a good man with a kind heart who never missed the opportunity to help when he could. We will miss your wit, honesty and sense of humor. Rest in peace brother until we see you again. "I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying 'Look, the home of God is now among his people. God Himself will be with them. He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evil are gone forever.'" Rev. 21:3.
