A fiddler, guitar player, song writer and singer, he died Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in Baton Rouge. He was 70 and a native and resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired electronics technician with the East Baton Rouge Parish school system and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, April 4, was from 6 p.m.to 9 p.m.Visiting resumes on Thursday from 9 a.m.until religious service in the chapel at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Duke, Denham Springs; son, Eddie Wood, Independence; two sisters, Edith Wallace, Baker, and June Simmons and husband Jim, Baton Rouge; three grandchildren, Lynn Fletcher, Jennifer Broussard and John David White; and three great-grandchildren, William, Cody and Mackenzie Fletcher.
