During his last two years, he was blessed to be taken care of by two of the most compassionate caregivers, Loise and Teresa, who loved him like family. Jorge moved to the United States with his family as a teenager. Becoming a US citizen was a proud moment in his life. He received his undergraduate & graduate degrees from LSU. Jorge's first job was in sales for Bell & Howell. This job provided him the opportunity to work the New Orleans Saints home games during their first two years at the old Tulane Stadium printing game stats information for the coaching staff and reporters. Jorge loved the time he spent working for the Associated General Contractors in Baton Rouge. He finished his career working in the commercial insurance business. In the middle of his retirement, Jorge was given the opportunity to return to work as a bailiff for the Honorable Anthony Marabella Jr. in the 19th Judicial District Court in Baton Rouge, which he was excited to do. Jorge spent many years on the tennis courts and golf course of the former Fairwood Country Club. He loved to play golf with some of his most cherished friends. Jorge also followed LSU baseball and football. In 2012, Mary Ruth and Jorge moved to Flower Mound, Texas, to be closer to their children. Please join us for a memorial service on Friday, November 3, 2017, at 11:00 am at St Thomas More Catholic Church, followed by the burial of Jorge and Mary Ruth at Greenoaks Memorial Park. .
