Joseph William Pohlmann "Billy" Hecker passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the age of 68, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a Criminal Defense Lawyer with his own Practice in Baton Rouge for many years. He is survived by his mother; Gloria P. Hecker of Baton Rouge, daughter; Tara Elizabeth Hecker of Kaulia Kona, Hawaii and a cousin; Jean L. Heffron, Ph.D. He was preceded in death by his father; Joseph William Hecker, Jr. Visitation will be at St. Aloysius Catholic Church Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with entombment at St. George Catholic Church Cemetery. "Billy" was an avid duck hunter and fisherman who loved his Black Labs Cutter and Ben, he attended yearly retreats at Manresa. He was a graduate of Baton Rouge High, L.S.U. and Loyola Law School.
