He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph H. Patin, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Leona Patin; maternal grandparents, Alvin and Drean Decuir; dear cousin, Amber Ekeude and other relatives and friends.

He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Maggie Vanner Patin; three daughters, Janelle Patin Porter, Laura (Jonathan) Gray, and Christina (Eric) Smith; seven grandchildren, Dontrell Patin, Brianna Porter, Ashanti Porter, Jonathan Gray, Jr., Jonaya Gray, Jonaysia Gray and Elijah Smith; mother, Patricia Decuir Patin; one sister, Moneca (John) Alvera of West Jordan, Utah; one brother, Graylin Patin; sister-in-law, Linda (George) Hardy; three brothers-in-law, Toras (Everline) Blakes, Jake (Patricia) Vanner, Sr. and Joseph Vanner, Jr.; close and dear friends Louis Netter, Edward Myles and Glen Forde.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation which will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis St., Baton Rouge, LA on Saturday, December 29, 2018 from 9:00 am to 10:30 with services beginning at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
