Josephine C Zito

Josephine “Phinie” C. Zito, 79, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, LA passed away on Thursday December 16, 2010. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She will be remembered for her good cooking, casino bus trips and her love for Maw-Maw’s babies. Visitation will be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church on Saturday December 18, 2010 from 9am until time of services at 11am. A rosary will be said at 9:30am. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Rev. Jack Nutter will be presiding over the services. “Phinie” is survived by her husband of 61 years Frank J. Zito; children: Joyce Z. Gilbert and husband Allen, Judy Zito, and Ronny Zito and wife Karen; grandchildren: Chad Thibodeaux and wife Angel, Jennifer Thibodeaux, Josh Zito, Lenzie Zito, Candi Ourso and husband Jacob, and Brandon Grotsma and wife Daisy; step grandchildren: Laura Tarver, Heidi Watts, Sean Gilbert and Travis Gilbert; great grandchildren: Ethan Roberts, Olivia Thibodeaux, Alex Thibodeaux, Kylie Ourso and Wesson Grotsma; and siblings: Mary Pitre, Angelo Corsentino, Anthony Corsentino and wife Patsy, and V.M. “Lankie” Corsentino. “Phinie” is preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Rosalie Corsentino; and siblings: Vita Martello, Lena Pritchett, Theresa Swanson and S.J. Corsentino.
