He was preceded in death by his parents, Policarpo Guevara Rodriguez, and Rosa Abelina Maltez Guevara.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maria Celfa Cruz Guevara; children, Sandra Guevara and Diana Reyes Guevara (Gabriel); grandchildren, Jason, Ashley, Nathali, Alex, Matthew; siblings, Francisco Maltez, Jose Maltez, Maria Maltez, and Marcelina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
