

Judy Kay Howe, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA., passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, at the age of 78. Judy was born on October 9, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Judith is a high school graduate from Ada, OK., in 1966 and continued her education, earning her bachelor’s degree from East Central in Ada, OK., and Master’s Degree from LSU.
Judy is a retired teacher from the East Baton Rouge Parish, a member of Broadmoor United Methodist Church, and Red Hats Society. She will be remembered for her love as an avid reader and traveler.
Judy is survived by her siblings, Kathy Howe Ziegler and Daniel E. Ziegler, of Baton Rouge and Richard W. Howe and Dollie Howe of Brandon, FL.; nieces,Mandy Kellum and Jennifer Newman; nephews, Kevin and Keith Howe and Chris and Cary Howe and numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, David O. and Augusta S. Howe, brother, David James Howe, and nephew Gregory E. Ziegler.
Pallbearers will be Danny Ziegler, Jay Kellum, Owen Ziegler, Josh Ziegler, Sam Ziegler and Cooper Einsel.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 9:30am-11:00am. A graveside service will be held immediately after visitation.
