

Judith Elaine Polk died on October 29, 2024, after a long illness. She born in Tallulah and was a long-time resident of Baton Rouge attending Baton Rouge High School and Louisiana State University where she was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. Judy had recently returned to Baton Rouge after living in Florida for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hebert and Betty Polk, and by her husband, Jerry King. Judy lived a blessed life, which she enjoyed to the fullest and which she shared generously with her family and with her many friends. She is survived by her two children, Neal Douglas Hendrick and Michelle Polk Milstid, by their spouses, Kathy Stevens and Robert Milstid, and by her six grandchildren, Chandler Elise Hendrick, Hunter Polk Hendrick, Alexandra Stevens Hendrick, Gabriella Helene Hendrick, Elizabeth Grace Smith, Michael Gabriel Smith, and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Elaine Smith. Visitation will be conducted for Judy beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Greenoaks Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Greenoaks immediately thereafter.
