Judy Daspit McCants a resident of Baker, and a native of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on January 4th, 2025. Judy was the manager of Our Lady of the Lake Credit Union for many years, before working as an Auditor for Baton Rouge City Court, where she retired. She is survived by two children, R. Kevin McCants, and wife Robin, Stephen M. Omohundro, and husband Jim all of Baton Rouge; three granddaughters, Laurie Thibodeaux and husband Trey of Port Allen, Niki Hollands, Nashville, TN, Maggie Cremeens, and husband Matthew of Baton Rouge; one Grandson, Randall McCants, and wife Casey of Gonzales; eleven great grandchildren, George, Haylie, Hunter, Hayden, Layla, Zuri, Hoytt, Gracie, Claire, Callum and Cameron. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilber and Ida Giroir Daspit, her husband of 50 years, Donald D. McCants, Sr. a son, Donald D. McCants Jr., and siblings, Dorothy Boyd, LeEarl Griffith, Shirley Vicknair, Kenneth Daspit.Pallbearers will be George Thibodeaux, Hunter Chauvin, Hayden Chauvin, Hoytt Chauvin, Michael Williston, Dominic Williston. Honorary Pallbearers, Trey Thibodeaux, Matthew Cremeens and Randall McCants. Visiting will take place at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 9. Visitation at St. Isidore Catholic Church, on Friday, January 10, from 9:00 until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Memorial Park Mausoleum.
