

"I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. Julia Ann Dinkins Castello, 67, passed away Saturday Jan. 26, 2008, at her home in Greenwell Springs. A native of Baton Rouge, she was retired from the OIC with the state. Visitation at Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, 19421 Greenwell Springs Road, on Monday Jan. 28, was from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Dennis Terry and the Rev. T.W. Terrell. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by her husband, Willard Ted Castello; daughter and son-in-law, Kobi and Tony Westbrook, and their children Emily, Luke and Lani Grace, of Lafayette; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and Robby Tullier, and their children, Cody and Cade, of Baton Rouge; and sisters, Jeannie Kennison, of Slidell, and Joyce Dinkins Caskey and Sue Dinkins Lane, both of Bradley, Ark. Preceded in death by her son, Chad Ted Castello; parents, Ray and Hattie Newman; father, Cecil Dinkins; and mother- and father-in-law, Lawrence and Dixie Castello. Pallbearers will be Billy Stiles, Ken O'Banion, Clay Richard, Ted Prudhomne, Buck Bryan, Tony Westbrook, Robby Tullier and Randy Walker. Honorary pallbearers are Odgar Wunstel and Larry Castello. Julia was a very giving person always thinking of others before herself. She was a 1958 graduate of Istrouma High School, a member of the Red Stick Travelers camping chapter and the Quilting Guild. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Rabenhorst Funeral Home East in charge of arrangements.
