A homemaker and resident of Baton Rouge for 55 years, she died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010, She was 91, born in Bayonne, N.J. Visiting at St. Thomas More Catholic Church on Tuesday, Jan. 26, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 1:45 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Tom Duhe. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by a daughter, Joanne G. Day and husband Raymond Day, Baton Rouge; daughter-in-law, Ann Gaydos, Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Brenton J. Day and wife Teresa Day, Baton Rouge, Kevin M. Day and wife Kelly Day, Brusly, Barbara G. McGirl and husband Jim McGirl, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn., and Steve Gaydos and wife Kim Gaydos, Huntington Beach, Calif.; and great-grandchildren, Emily and Anna Day, of Baton Rouge, and Natalie, Lindsey and Nicholas McGirl, of Soddy-Daisy. Preceded in death by her husband, Michael Gaydos; and sons, Michael W. Gaydos and George E. Gaydos. She was a charter member of St. Thomas More Church and lived at Lake Sherwood Village Retirement Community for more than 10 years. She loved to crochet, read and do crossword puzzles.
