He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Stuart, Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” Hatfield Stuart and brother-in-law, John D. Ritter. We are sure he was called home to be with our mother on Mother’s Day. “Happy Mother’s Day Mom!”
Justin was a cherished member of our family and is survived by his two sisters, Elizabeth Stuart Ritter, Lydia Stuart Mangelli (Louis), his 4 brothers, John A. Stuart, Jr. (Winnie), Christopher N. Stuart (Stacey), Harry E. Stuart, Stan H. Stuart (Tanya) and his eighteen nieces and nephews and their children who he loved dearly.
Justin never met a stranger and always wanted to know what high school they attended, so he could make a connection with them. He loved everything LSU, especially baseball. He spent years at Alex Box Stadium with friends cheering for the Tigers. His greatest joy was going to the Baton Rouge Fire Stations, especially Stations 10 and 12. He was so loved by these men, that they gave him a retirement party at Station 12 and a plaque. His best friend was District Chief Jimmy Roy. A special thank you goes to Jimmy for the attention and love he gave Justin. We will be forever grateful to him and all the fireman who called him “Juice.”
We want to thank Arka and Angela for the excellent care and love they extended to Justin. Also, thanks to Doctors Leo Blaize and Gerald Miletello, Landmark of Baton Rouge and Life Source Services of Baton Rouge who provided personal care.
Pallbearers are his nephews, Scott A. Ritter, Robert P. Ritter, John A. Stuart, III, Christopher N. Stuart, Jr., Louis V. Mangelli, Anthony M. Stuart, Nicholas H. Stuart and Benjamin J. Stuart.
Visitation will be at Rabenhorst, Government St, on Saturday April 9, 2026, from 11:30am -1pm, with Service at 1pm, Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Thank you Father Jeff Bayhi
