She was a native of Biloxi, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge. Karen died at 6:30pm Sunday, June 3, 2012, at St. Luke Episcopal Hospital of Houston, TX. She was 49. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., Thursday from 10:00am until the religious service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00pm, conducted by the Revs. James Parker and Tommy Martin. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Eddie J. Guidry; her mother, V.J. Kotar; daughter, Khira Guidry; sons, Jason and Kirk Guidry; maternal grandmother, Robbie Jackson; sister, Deborah Davis; two brothers, Doug and Michael Kotar.She was preceded in death by her father, David Lee Kotar. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association.
