Katherine Dunning Nadler

A graduate of Baton Rouge High School, Katherine went on to attend Louisiana State University. She later married Joseph Allan Nadler Jr. of Plaquemine, Louisiana, where the couple made their home and raised their three children: William Allan Nadler (Gale), Nancy Katherine Nadler Gremillion (Dennis), and Jean Laughlin Nadler Moody (Robert).

"Miss Kappy" dedicated many years to the Iberville Parish Library as a beloved children's librarian. Her passion for storytelling and literacy touched generations through her leadership of storytime sessions and Summer Reading programs that brought joy to countless children in Plaquemine.

She was a devoted grandmother to eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, with a few cherished "bonus" grandchildren and great-grandchildren who also held special places in her heart.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Allan Nadler Jr., and her grandson, Scott Allan Nadler.

Her legacy lives on through the many lives she enriched with her warmth, creativity, and dedication to family and community. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18th at Rabenhorst Funeral Home on Government St. from 1PM to 3PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 3PM.
