
A mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and retired receptionist with the OBGYN and Associates, passed into the hands of our lord on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 7:40 a.m. She was a resident of Toledo Retirement and Rehab. Center in Zwolle, La., A native of New Roads, and resided in Baton Rouge for most of her 87 years. Graduated Business College in Baton Rouge worked many clerical jobs during WWII including service at Ryan Field Airbase. She always enjoyed cooking for the family and teaching anyone interested just how she did it. Family was always first. As a member of St. Gerard Magella Church she lived as Christ would have her live. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (East) 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, La. On Thursday June 14, 2012 from 9:30 a.m until the Religious service at 1:30 p.m. with interment following at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Grady L. and Wanda B. Hill and Michael D. and Brenda M. Hill, a daughter-in-law, Judy Hill, step-son Jim Rabalais and wife Erin, stepdaughter Sheryl Rabalais, a sister Letitia M. Hurst, and a brother and sister-in-law, Neal D. and Edith Magruder; nine grandchildren, including Bryan Hill and wife Ronda, Melissa Hill, Cynthia Bourgoyne and husband Brian, Wendy Cole and husband Kenny, Tuesday Hill, Brian Rabalais and wife April; and seventeen greatgrandchildren, including Cole Cupit, Emily, Blake and Mason Bourgoyne, Bridger, Calli and Camden Hill, Taylor and Victoria Cole, Ashley and Allison Curran, Clayton, Dane and Ethan Rabalais. Preceded in death her parents Rena Hines and Dunbar Magruder, by two husbands Grady L. Hill and Thomas Rabalais, a son Gerald R. Hill, a daughter Melanie K. Hill, two step-sons Tommy and Gerard Rabalais, two sisters Fannie Magruder and Grace Bechtold and a brother L.D. Magruder. Pallbearers will be: Bryan Hill, Don Hurst, Martin Magruder, Craig Magruder, Brian Rabalais, and Allen Bonnet. Honorary pallbearers are Cleve Baham, Dr. Kenny Cole and Cole Cupit.
