

Kay Katherine Waller, a resident of Jackson, LA., passed away Monday, April 20, 2026, at the age of 76. Kay Waller, better known as Kathy, worked in multi-family living as a manager for over 40 years leaving a little piece of herself with every family that she met. She was one of a kind and will truly be missed by her family, which she loved so deeply.
Visitation for Mrs. Waller will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Forida Blvd., Baton Rouge on April 27, 2026, from 10:00 am until service time of 1:00 pm. Burial will follow service.
She is survived by her baby sisters, aka, best friends, Penny Parker and her husband Lamar Parker; Gertrude “Lala” Chaney and her husband Troy Chaney; her brother, Henry David; daughter, Sherrie Olinde and her son in law Sandee Olinde; along with her grandchildren, Elizabeth Kraft her husband Tim Kraft and great grandson, Titus Kraft; grandson, Daniel Olinde and his wife Shannon Olinde; many nieces and nephews, most importantly the ones she held dear in her heart, that her sisters shared their children and grandchildren with Kay. Kay loved them as if they were her own. Nieces, Tammy Corsentino, her husband Michael Corsentino’ Cassy Ward and her boyfriend Steven Lee and nephew James Ward and his wife Sharon Ward. Great nieces, Lexi Bernard her husband Ryan Bernard; Shelby Carter her husband Sedrick Carter, Victoria “Tori” Corsentino and her fiancé’ David “DK” Hayden, Arianna Poche her husband Chris Poche, nephew Michael Corsentino and girlfriend Karlie Morrision, Noah Corsentino, her little man; and lastly her little shadow and partner in crime great niece, Celine Bernard.
She is preceded in death and greeted at the pearly gates by the love her life, husband James “Jimmy” Waller; parents Roland Sr. and Ida David; brothers Roland David Jr., Milton David, Kennon David and John “Randy” David along with son, Jean Pierre Waller.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Parker, James Ward, Michael Corsentino, David Hayden, Ryan Bernard, and Steven Lee. Honorary pallbearers Troy Chaney, Donovan Chaney and Jamie Covey. By Kay’s last wishes, services will be conducted by Sedrick Carter, and her two favorite songs will be performed by Michael Corsentino.
